psychotherapy practice Wilbert Derks

Wilbert Derks’ psychotherapy practice is a small-scale, single-practitioner practice. You can come to the practice for (short-term) psychotherapy, EMDR, relationship therapy and coaching. Personal and engaged attention is central to the way I support you in addressing your concerns. Your needs and what is required for you personally form the basis of the approach, allowing the psychotherapy, EMDR therapy, relationship therapy or coaching to be tailored to you.
In my practice I notice that people possess a great deal of inner strength. With this, they can genuinely restore meaning and quality to their life or relationship, even if at first they feel unable to find a way forward.

therapy process and reimbursements

In my psychotherapy practice, I find that most people I work with need around five to eight sessions of psychotherapy, relationship therapy or coaching before they feel able to continue on their own. A session usually lasts one hour. The costs of psychotherapy or EMDR sessions are reimbursed if you have supplementary health insurance. It is advisable to check this with your insurer.

about me

I am married and the father of four children. I completed the Integrative Psychotherapy programme at the Dutch Academy for Psychotherapy. To this day, I continue to follow additional training, courses, literature study, supervision and intervision. This keeps my knowledge and skills up to date and enables me to carry out my work in the practice with inspiration and fulfilment.
